I updated my Square theme last week and I noticed that my footer widgets have disappeared and the Powered by WordPress is all that remains.
I went to Appearance/Customize/Additional CSS and placed .site-info { display: none; } but it still shows up. I also read that this method may affect our SEO as we’re technically hiding the link.
I also went into Appearance/Editor, however there’s no footer.php to choose, so I’m not able to remove any code from it (since it doesn’t exist).
Any ideas of what could help?

The footer text does not seems to be being displayed by the Themes Code. It may be from some plugins so please check by disabling the plugins.
Thanks
