    I’m building my 20th website using Total v 2.1.05 and I continually get the white screen critical error message when trying to build the site, or make changes and reviewing. The website is not currently live. The Admin email that I receive indicates it is the theme. I’ve deactivated the plugins that I use, and checked that all of those are current with the version of WordPress that I am using which is 5.8.2. I’ve also reloaded the theme for a second time and it still continues to give problems. The website is hosted on our company servers, as are the 19 previous sites that I have built. Anyone else having problems? Looking for suggestions on how to remedy this issue. Thanks.

    I’m having this same problem trying to install a new website with Total Plus. No plugins active, latest version of WordPress. PHP 7.4.

    My website in question to this original post is not live yet until I can get these plugins to work properly. So I cannot share the URL as I’m building it on our company server. I’ve noticed that some of my best plug-ins, Yoast, Ultimate Social Media Plugin, WPForms and Really Simple SSL simply make the Customizer not work properly. Deactivating the plug-ins fixes the problem. So, I have 19 other sites with the same WP version 5.8.3, same theme with nearly the same versions 2.1.05 up to 2.1.09, I use the same plug-ins, but this new site has problems.

    Today I had an error that stated “in order for the plugins to work add <?php wp_footer(); ?> as your first line of code in the footer.php file. We did that and continue to have the same problem. Oh, and I had also deleted the plugins one at a time, and then added/activated them again. Still the same problem.

    Hi,

    Can you please tell me the name of the plugin that requires wp_footer() as the first line of code? No theme will have wp_footer() as the first line of code. It can be in around/below some code or probably even in another file. Unless there is wp_footer(), the other plugin should be able to make use of it to inject their code.

    And regarding the second issue, it is a hosting issue. You will need to contact your hosting and ask them to increase the Memory size. Once, it is increased, the error will go..

    I found the error message about adding that line of text to the Footer php. It is in Appearance>Themes at the top.

    Error: Please fix your theme to make plugins work correctly. Go to the Theme Editor and insert the following string as the first line of your theme’s footer.php file: <?php wp_footer(); ?> Go to your theme editor: click here.

    The theme already contains wp_footer() code in another file
